Spring is on its way, the snow has melted but this mountain hare is still in its winter coat. Sheltering amongst the rocks near Glenshee ski lift. -

I came across this bird sheltering from the wind in the Cairngorms at Glenshee. Great to be able to get so close. -

It took a while to creep up on this male red grouse without frightening it away. It was good to be able to watch it feeding and unconcerned with my presence. Taken in the Cairngorms near Nethybridge. -
